Giordani Gold Long Wear Mineral

I was recently sent the Giordani Gold Long Wear Mineral Foundation for a review. Even though I do not use makeup, this is a certainly a great product which will give your face an instant makeover. The best part is that this product is available in a 30 ml bottle with a press down dispenser as well as a brush applicator which makes it easy to use. The product is available in five shades:

  • Light Rose
  • Light Ivory
  • Rose Beige
  • Natural Beige

GG

So you can pick the one closest to your complexion for the best results. I choose the Natural Beige variant as it was the perfect match for my skin tone. The foundation is made using Italian Volcanic Minerals and has five essential minerals and sourced directly from Mount Etna. It is said that the Volcanic Minerals encourage skin to flourish by counteracting loss of firmness, minimizing free-radical damage and improving barrier function as stated on the product website.

My Take

The foundation has a smooth, creamy texture and a mild fragrance that is quite aromatic which makes the product attractive sensorially as well. Using small dots around my face and neck, I was able to smoothen it well and could instantly see my face brighten up. The texture of the product gives a matte finish which blends into your skin and gives you a natural non-made up look. For best results, apply the product with your fingers, using a small amount using outward strokes. Blend neatly for a smooth finish. When you look at you face it not just looks but also feels soft and supple. The best part of this product is that it works like a charm as it is the base for applying makeup and hence the foundation is arguably the most important part of the makeup ritual. I suggest you apply a moisturizer first and allow it to dry and then apply the foundation. The product, however, works for all skin types and did not give any trouble on my sensitive skin as well. So if you are looking for a foundation that does its job, look no further get your hands on this product here.

P.S. All opinions expressed here are my own and I was sent this product for the review with no other commercials.

  1. Is it good for acne prone combination skin? I constantly suffer from breakouts. Can it give total coverage for my acne scars and red spots? And will the shade Light Rose too white for my fair( yellowish) complexion?

    • Ash, its a nice product and has neat coverage. Regarding skin issues, suggest you mail them the contact details are on the Oriflame site.
