Born to a North Indian, Sikh family and raised amidst the lush greenery of North East India, Chef Amninder Sandhu, has a love that is akin to devotion for food.

Chef Amninder’s love for food encompasses all she does and has gone on to win her the Best Lady Chef Award in 2016 from the Ministry of Tourism. In 2019 she was labelled “The Girl With Gold In Her Fingers” by none other than the legend Chef Marco Pierre White.

She also won the award for Chef Of The Year at the Times Food Awards 2019, Outstanding Entrepreneur- Culinary at the prestigious Guide Awards 2019 by the media house Mid Day, was featured in the 50 Best Discovery by The World’s 50 Best Restaurants and won the Chef of the Year at the Condé Nast Traveller Top Restaurant Award 2019 for championing ingredient driven cuisine, clean kitchen practices and creating India’s first and only gas free restaurant.

In 2020 she went on to be a guest judge on the newest season of Master Chef India, the country’s most watched and loved culinary reality TV show. She was featured on the magazine cover of Conde Nast Traveller India’s 40 Under 40: India’s Most Exciting Young Chefs, for transforming the culinary landscape and reimagining how diners eat out. She is the Founder of Bliss Food Experiences which is an exclusive high profile chef driven catering brand, and also aims to be have the ultimate delivery format hospitality brands. She has launched Ammu which is her flagship comfort Indian delivery brand, and is in the process of launching Barfi & Sons, and Bini Choley. In 2022, Chef Amninder has opened up a terrace bar and kitchen in Pune named Nora, where she showcases global cuisine like never before.

In June 2023 Chef Amninder Sandhu opened Bawri in Goa which went on to become the most talked about restaurant in the country. At Bawri you will see a love story come to life. A love story panning passage of decades and longitudes of India through heirloom recipes. And now she has launched her newest restaurant Palaash at Tipai by Wildlife Luxuries.
