Caroline’s corporate journey includes pivotal roles at Bain and Company in London for three years, followed by a transformative six-year tenure with Decathlon in India, where she honed her skills in operational efficiency and client-centric service. This background sets the stage for her current leadership at The Blue Kite.

The Blue Kite, the hospitality arm of Vianaar (a luxury home developing company based in Goa) was created in 2017 to ensure homeowners could generate income from their holiday homes without having to worry about managing guests and maintenance themselves.

“Right from the very beginning, I wanted to make my parents proud and shine bright for the family. I took my schooling very seriously and it shaped me into who I am today. I did my Double bachelor’s degree from Facultés Universitaires Saint-Louis (FUSL), Brussels (Belgium) – 2005-2008 BA in Economics and Business Administration (graduated with “Grande Distinction”) BA in Political Science (graduated with “Grande Distinction”).”

Green Thumb

“We understand that although our rental operations do not directly generate negative emissions for the environment, the very fact that most of our guests fly to come here on holiday does create negative emissions. For the same, we have stopped using single-use plastic, plastic dispensers, etc at almost all our properties. We also segregate our garbage, and as opposed to the industry practice we buy groceries as and when needed by the guests in place of stocking the fridge which ultimately leads to wastage.

What we would like to do is involve our guests in activities that would offset the carbon footprint. For instance, doing a tree plantation in Goa. If you are flying from Hyderabad and consume X amount of carbon and that can be offset by planting trees. We also encourage people to rent electric scooters. Fun activities that make them enjoy the nature around them like kayaking and bicycling on Divar Island.

It is essential that we maintain our 4.8+ rating while striving to grow. I would also like people in my team to turn back in 10 years, look at their career trajectory and know that they have learned so much while working with The Blue Kite.  They might still be working with us or may have started their own business. They treat people well and know that doing the right thing always pays off.”
