A to celebrate one of the largest mammals the Rhinoceros is also a sign that this is a species that needs conservation now.

On my maiden trip to Assam, I had the good fortune of visiting Kaziranga National Park, something that had been on my wish list for long.

The Park is home to the largest number of Greater One Horned Rhinos and is the best place to see these otherwise elusive animals.

The Park is also rich in bird life and I was glad to capture several species on my trip despite the fact that it was marred by rain.
