What we ate: We choose to dine at the open courtyard under the sky that gives a delightful outdoor dining experience and the cool ambience is a perfect ode to Bangalore’s famed weather. We sampled some of the delectable vegetarian fare and the meal starts with a complimentary bread basket and three dips. We started with the Curried Pumpkin Soup is a silky textured country soup that is slightly spicy and whets your appetite. Next we sampled the Classic Greek Salad made with lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, onions, bell peppers, black olives and feta cheese tossed in a zesty Greek dressing. The salad is combined together beautifully and has the perfect crunch. For starters try the Hummus, a classic chick pea puree with tahina served with soft warm pita bread. The Bruschetta Platter with a choice of toppings like the red pepper salsa on toasted garlic bread with parmesan shavings and the tomato toppings are delectable. The stuffed Italian nachos are something different here and are crunchy and stuffed with cheese. The vegetarian platter with potato and cheese kibbeh and grilled vegeatble shaslik served with accompaniments is also great to sample the variety here. For the main course try the Margherita Pizza that has a farm freshness to it topped with fresh tomatoes, basil, olive oil, garlic and oregano. The Asparagus Risotto made with fine Arborio rice and grilled asparagus is creamy as it is slow cooked in parmesan cream and drizzled with truffle oil that makes it filling. From the large selection of desserts we tried the Tiramasu, the Italian favourite that melts in your mouth with layers of mascarpone and sponge cake dipped in coffee liqueur and the Greek Lemon Curd that was served with raspberry coulis and pistachios and simply melts in your mouth. The restaurant also features the Mediterranean Sunday brunch, for those lazy Sundays of the Bangaloreans and the ‘Unlimited drinks, Grills and Live Music’ program on all Fridays and Saturdays blending in the spirit of Bangalore with the Mediterranean culinary culture. Try it yourself and this will be a dining experience that will stay with you for long.
